I find myself in a bit of a pickle. I just turned 60 and am 60 lbs overweight. 60 is not my favorite number. If it was anywhere on my blood pressure cuff, that might change my mind. Not the case. Everything on my body is >. My age, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol are all greater than they should be. I am not taking this lying down since I may never get back up.
Been on diets.Fell off diets. Lost weight, gained weight. Gave up fat, sugar, carbs, gluten, gmos. You name it, I quit it at some point. This whole restrictive game plan is not working for me. Nor is eating whatever I feel like.
I need a life lift. I need a month at a spa. I pondered this fat camp spa idea when my five foot three frame hit 202 lbs - last week.
What exactly would happen at a spa? I would exercise more, relax more, drink herb teas, eat vegetarian food? What exactly would happen at a spa that I couldn't make happen at home?
This blog is how I will change the feng shui my cluttered home and learn to treat myself better. I will be accountable to you my dear reader and maybe step by step we can get well. We can have normal blood pressure and weigh 140. Or if you weigh 140, love yourself into being 120.
I will start with clutter. I am not a lazy person but I am a super busy person who has to prioritize every day. Which means instead of organizing my desk, I wade through stacks of papers to find my printer. I keep clothes that are too small, too old or just plain boring. I have every soap mold that I ever bought - yes
I make the most gorgeous organic soap in the world - which is why I have no time to go through and throw stuff away. I make jewelry, soap, and organic medicinal sprays that would blow your mind. www.auntiepams.com. And I am a packrat which is just 5 minutes away from being a hoarder.
My first action towards making my home a spa -
1. Pick ten things to give away per day. I am setting up a box in our bedroom to go to the local thrift store.
I will get rid of 300 items by Thanksgiving.
This will clear my mind and create a less chaotic space.
